Right First Time
Right First Time is an initiative launched at TVC to improve the skills of our workforce, enhance the quality of our finished product, and reduce rework and waste. It’s not just about productivity and profitability — it’s fundamentally about delivering quality, leading to greater customer satisfaction and better-performing buildings and infrastructure.
To support this, we are developing a mix of training modules and briefings from industry specialists, alongside cultural and safety behaviour training, all aimed at embedding best practice across our teams.
A key development in this area is the appointment of Declan Fitzgerald as Compliance and Operations Manager. This new role represents a major investment in the business, designed to help facilitate change and strengthen our leadership capability. By working collaboratively as a leadership team, we aim to stay ahead of our competitors and position ourselves to win more lucrative projects in the future.
We believe that feedback is essential to success — when it’s constructive and well-managed. Through monthly SHEQ observation tours and regular communication, we’re creating a culture of shared learning. By highlighting both good practices and the challenges we face, we can implement meaningful change where needed.
Ultimately, we want this investment to drive a genuine culture shift — one that makes the ambition behind Right First Time a reality.
