Just a short note to express our thanks for all the hard work and commitment TVC put into constructing the frame at One Canal Parade. All aspects of Health & Safety were handled very professionally, and the finished quality was very good. We also appreciate the time saved on the overall programme.
From the H&S point of view, TVC not only had very robust processes and systems in place, but also put forward their front line supervisors and site manager for a safety leadership program that Dawnus Ferrovial Agroman JV provided to strengthen jointly our H&S values and approach to H&S.
I have used Thames Valley Construction on several RC Framed Projects, and found them to be highly professional and co-operative. They have a strong ethic relating to site safety and quality of workmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
Their attitude towards Health & Safety was very positive and the quality of the finished work is commendable. The Project Management team were positive throughout delivery and worked flexibly with us to ensure the structure was delivered within the targeted timescale to allow follow-on activities to progress.
The works required very high quality exposed concrete finishes to soffits, walls, gallery beams and rooflights. The site was very restricted with limited access and storage. Despite the restrictions and given the exposed coastal location of the site, you managed to complete the concrete frame to a very high quality finish.
TVC assisted us throughout the project providing a knowledgeable and professional service within a very tight timeframe. The TVC approach to Health & Safety, Quality, Production and Site Management mirrors the values set by Interserve allowing us as the Main Contractor and TVC to work as a team and achieve the project goals.
Thames Valley Construction and Civil Engineering Ltd have been proactive in helping BAM achieve its National Skills Academy for Construction targets. They have always provided the evidence required promptly. They have supported us with work experience placements for young people aged 14-16 which has been excellent.

Thames Valley Construction have completed the concrete frame contract on the Cardiff and Vale College project for Willmott Dixon Construction during October 2013 – June 2014 of the build; the level of workmanship, assertiveness and communication skills are exceptional and the best I have ever experienced for over 18 years.
Ben and Simon, Thanks for your hospitality today as part of the LRQA audit which is going extremely well. [Expected nothing else!!] I just wanted to drop a note regarding my observations. As usual the project is controlled very well. Regarding TVC, often we see contractors who are safe and do what we ask. However with TVC they are clearly proactive.
Just a note, to you pass on comments from visits from our MD and Client over the last 2 days, that they were impressed with the appearance of the site and the safe methods you have adopted to undertake your portion of the work, this is a credit to your company and its agents.
Thames Valley Construction were instrumental in constructing a fundamental part of the civils element of the new Platform 8 at Cardiff Central Station, their proactive approach and quality of workmanship was key to the successful completion of a major RC wall in a very busy station environment.
I would like to formally acknowledge your efforts with regards H&S on site, during the visit from our Health Safety and Environmental advisor it was considered that TVC’s site activities were carried out professionally and safely, all work areas were clean and tidy.

Thames Valley Construction (TVC) is one of our larger UK customers and the largest in South West England and Wales. We have a longstanding relationship having traded with them for over ten years. TVC have wide ranging experience in the use of all major PERI systems on an equally wide range of projects including building, civil engineering and industrial structures.
Thames Valley are undoubtedly one of our best suppliers. I believe they are an extremely competent RC Frame contractor, that I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. They are very proactive in their safety outlook and are always looking to beat programme dates but are aware that costs are important as well.
This Green card has been issued for partnering throughout your contracted works. It is not issued against one specific action, but in recognition of the continued efforts and improvements with H&S and overall attitude and assistance during very difficult working conditions.
My overall impression of TVC is an extremely positive one. They brought an experience and knowledge to the contract that served well in helping achieve, in conjunction with the rest of the team, the successful progression and conclusion of the 4 Storey Concrete Frame. Their non-confrontational approach was most welcome.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your site team for the exceptional way in which you have organised and managed the project from start to finish, to deliver the project on time to a high finish.
This project was completed on time to an extremely challenging programme and the workmanship and quality is excellent. Despite a raft of design issues, a very particular structural engineer and a number of changes the aspiration of a defect free handover on programme was achieved. Importantly at no time was safety compromised.
TVC are a very professional, proactive contractor, above all their safety standards are fantastic. TVC provide safety procedural systems which go over and above that of their competitors.
First class attitude, I congratulate them on a well run and organised business.
Your timely completion of the concrete frame has enabled this challenging contract to be in a position to take forward for a successful completion.
Your excellent contribution to the successful opening of this section…. A credit to the industry!
The work was completed incident and accident free, a testament to their positive attitude to Health and Safety… a well organised approach and professional manner.
Excellent, user friendly subcontractor. Full time manager onsite throughout which was over and above what was expected, very good. Standard of work was excellent.
Four storey complex reinforced concrete frame within tight site footprint. Logistically a difficult frame to construct, but Thames Valley were very proactive and did a fantastic job. The finish to the circular 16m tall concrete columns to the exhibition place is still a talking point by many academics. Excellent Heath and safety on site.
Thames Valley Construction supplied a labour force of up to 70 men of mixed trades. Thames Valley treated it as if it were their own fixed price contract, maintaining costs and quality throughout, with a positive attitude towards health and safety.
