As Dawnus Ferrovial Agroman JV Construction Manager, I worked with TVC during the construction of the Eastern Bay Link project. The Eastern Bay Link project had a high content of structural works. It consisted of 1km dual carriageway, including 670m bridge, 21 spans, installation of 120 precast concrete beams, 220m of steelwork.
Almost each pier was different and the foundations were in a very narrow corridor in between and existing road, a private railway line in a very challenging field with several underground services (11kv and 123kv cables, telecoms, water and gas mains). TVC were appointed to undertake the reinforced concrete works. As specialist subcontractor, TVC provided their knowledge and experience, which was key for the successful delivery of the works.
From the H&S point of view, TVC not only had very robust processes and systems in place, but also put forward their front line supervisors and site manager for a safety leadership program that Dawnus Ferrovial Agroman JV provided to strengthen jointly our H&S values and approach to H&S.
TVC actively participated in our safety forums and lesson learned sessions. TVC delivered a first class quality product within a very tight programme.
