I had the Compliance Team Structural Engineer on site yesterday for an inspection, and I wanted to pass on his comments. While he has a couple of minor questions and comments, he was very impressed with the high quality of work being undertaken, and the site setup and method of work, considering the highly constrained nature of the site. They've undertaken various inspections at different stages of the scheme so far, and have been so impressed with TVC's works that they've put your name forward on other projects where the main contractor has been looking for an RC frame subcontractor. The team from TVC provided an excellent service from the tendering stage through to the design stage where they worked collaboratively with us to rationalise the reinforcement design and provided alternative formwork solutions which assisted in guaranteeing programme certainty. Once the works commenced on site the site team completed the project to an excellent quality with a collaborative approach to health and safety and programme compliance to ensure that the project was a resounding success. The Covid lockdown occurred towards to the end of the concrete frame programme and TVC managed the situation admirably to ensure that the original completion date for the programme was met. Four storey complex reinforced concrete frame within tight site footprint. Logistically a difficult frame to construct, but Thames Valley were very proactive and did a fantastic job.
